Good Morning Friends!
Happiest of Fridays to you all!
Today, we're diving into something that's near and dear to my heart—keeping our lives in balance. Now, this is a Christian-based newsletter, and you know we love to dig deep into the spiritual side of things. But let me tell you, focusing on our spiritual well-being is just one piece of the puzzle.
We are wonderfully complex beings created by God, and to live our best lives, we need to give attention to all parts of ourselves—spiritual, physical, and mental. Yes, you heard me right, ALL parts!
Let's kick things off with the spiritual. Our connection with God is the foundation. It's where we draw our strength, our purpose, our peace. But you can't just stop there and expect everything else to fall into place. We're called to be good stewards of our entire being. That means taking care of our minds and bodies, too.
Speaking of which, I've got a little personal update to share. For the past few years, I've been making some strides in areas outside of just my spiritual journey. I've been going to therapy to work on my mental health. Yes, therapy! It's been a game-changer, and I can't recommend it enough. There's something incredibly powerful about talking things out with a professional, getting new perspectives, and learning tools to manage life's challenges.
And just when I thought things couldn't get better, I decided to lace up my sneakers and hit the treadmill. Yep, I've started going for morning walks. The cool air coming from the fan I have pointed towards me, the quiet moments of reflection, and the simple act of moving my body—it's been rejuvenating. I’m already feeling the benefits, both physically and mentally.
So, what’s the takeaway here? Balance, my friends. It's all about balance. We can't neglect one part of ourselves without it affecting the whole. Let’s keep nurturing our spirits, but let's also take those steps—literally and figuratively—to care for our minds and bodies. Embrace the full spectrum of what it means to be a healthy, vibrant person.
Remember, taking time for your mental and physical health isn't just okay—it's essential. By doing so, we honor the incredible creation that we are, and we position ourselves to serve and love others even better.
Until next time, keep the faith, keep moving forward, and keep finding that beautiful balance in your life.
